Insider Advantage College Counseling was founded and is run by Cris Patvakanian, a leading college counselor for over 7 years and award winning Harvard graduate. He is a Boston native, and after many years of freelance consulting in the greater Boston Area and internationally through referrals, decided to formalize his services to help students nationwide and abroad achieve their college goals.

All counseling provided is on a one-on-one basis and personalized to each student’s skillset, needs, and aspirations. Together, you will work as a team to create a custom plan and make sure your student feels supported with any aspect of your application.

Cris is a published, award winning author and recipient of the Thomas Temples Hoopes Prize for outstanding research. He is familiar with applications to both private and public colleges, specializing in New England universities.

He relies on his in depth expertise and insider knowledge of the Ivy League, private, and public university admissions having been through the experience himself and with his former clients. His other professional work experiences include working for the Harvard Crimson Newspaper, Harvard Business School, and the World Economic Forum.
